Make a list of the things you must eat in Los Angeles (quality of dish, not history or notoriety behind it) Iroha’s crunchy spicy crab roll would be right near the top. It is just a remarkable combination of flavors and textures. Go. Try. Enjoy.
P.S. I’m getting to work on that list.
Hi, my name is Sam, and I have a limoncello problem.
Life is better with limoncello.

sitting in a room with the NCAA while they make their decisions with regards to a rules infraction is like playing Yahtzee with a schizophrenic coke addict.

The Net Neutrality Coup →
But I thought Washington was becoming more transparent….
Even with all of the goodwill earned by this lame-duck’s “achievements”, the long term failure of net neutrality will ultimately seriously hurt Obama.

Great article.
I’m on a serious political high right now.

In the vicinity of Washington D.C. between now and the end of the year, I highly, highly recommend the Norman Rockwell exhibition at the American Art Museum. Absolutely wonderful.

feel so at home on the DC Metro. I’ve spent so much time in these tunnels. So much time spent just sitting… and thinking. So many long, humid car rides after work. So many nights spent recapping once in a lifetime days. It is truly one of my second homes.

Enjoy the people who go 5 miles under the speed limit yet run right through stop signs, and I maintain that 75% of the public should never have been issued a driver’s license.

Dear RIM,
It’s been real………………ly, really painful. I’m going to Droid. Adios to my dear friend BBM. Our sweet affair must end. If you shape up, I might just return to you.

For those who don’t know (which is most of you) there have been HUGE protests over education cuts and fee hikes here in the UK. There were several student protests at Whitehall, Parliament and 10 Downing Street. However, the most attention grabbing student action has been the “occupation” at my very own University College London. Students have taken over a room on campus, known as...

Landon Donovan (via sambio)
First off all, I love this quote. The selection of Qatar was absurd.
Second off all, this is the second time in two days that Samuel William Bialosky has quoted someone’s twitter account. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!? Could it mean that Sam has a twitter? Even if it is...

Anyone still want to defend this woman?
Can we now stop talking about her accomplishments for women in journalism and acknowledge that she is a bigot?

Where the mind wanders...
Here is a debate to get my mind off that pitifully officiated game. Great game, Bruins.
Anyway back to the debate going off in my head, and I won’t tell you how I got here, as I will surely scare people: how much did the baby boomers damage genuine altruism in this country? As most of the people I associate with are the children of baby boomers (I insinuate nothing), I think this is an...

My yearly epiphany
As I watch my Bruins play KU tonight (the bitterness has completely dissipated btw), I realize that as big a fan as I have become of Ohio State football, I’ll never care about anything college sports related as much as I care about UCLA basketball. It’s a huge part of my childhood. It’s in my blood (my grandfather played for the Bruins). I will forever and always be a son of...

with a serious craving to watch Cinema Paradiso tonight. What makes someone want to commit 173 minutes to a film (that is if you watch the Director’s Cut, which you should)? It is a magical movie experience. Just take my word for it.
Or maybe I’m just in the mood for something foreign, mentally stimulating, and fantastic. La Dolce Vita anyone?

take a photo with Terrelle Pryor during his workout at the RPAC today because you don’t screw with a guy during his workout. It’s a man law. The guy gets hassled 24 hours a day. He should get some peace at the gym. I was satisfied enough with sharing a machine with our very talented QB. Thoughts?

Can I just say...
how phenomenal it is that Duke has won 83% of their games since 1995-96, when 2 other ACC teams have won a combined 3 titles in that time span? He may never top John Wooden in terms of perception of greatness, but Coach K will come pretty damn close.
